It is also known as BPT which is a short form of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree. Some Institutes also use ‘B.P.Th’ as its abbreviation which also stands for Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
It is a 4 and half year full-time professional post-graduate degree course including 6 months internship. BPT gives more importance to the techniques and methods used for physiotherapy including modern and natural techniques.
BPT course offers a solution to joint-related issues, movement problems caused by a wide variety of nerve, muscle, and joint disorders. It teaches an individual, how to stay fit and the importance of the human body in their life and also helps in avoiding injuries and takes precautions from an accident or joint-related problems. It is the study of preventing injuries, finding drug-free techniques, and helping people to always stay fit. Candidates who can choose from a variety of specialization in physiotherapy such as sports-related physiotherapy, neurological conditions, movement disorders, rehabilitation, and recovery, etc. Overall, the candidates will study the complete human body and the best practices to keep them fit.
Physiotherapy programs provide a practical learning experience that enables knowledge gain, skill, and the required behavior expected from an expert Physiotherapist. The course syllabus is based on case studies and clinical practice which will encourage candidates in critical thinking.
The eligibility required for this course is 10+2 qualified candidates in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, while also securing 50% – 55% from the recognized board. The qualifying percentage of the score may vary from institute to institute. To pursue this course, you might have to attend entrance exams like MECEE BL , IPU CET, NEET-PG, etc. conducted by the desired board.
